Work With Us
We are always looking for great people. If you want to work somewhere busy, loud and genuinely fun — and you would rather be on your feet than behind a desk — we would like to meet you.
Best Darn Kettlecorn is a family business out of Bristol, Pennsylvania. We pop fresh every week at the Bristol Amish Market, and we take the Kettle Kart out to festivals, fairs and community days all over Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware. It is hot, it is busy, it smells incredible, and the crew is a big part of why people come back.
We are always looking to grow. More events, more markets, more carts on the road — which means we are more or less permanently on the lookout for the right people. Even if nothing below is open this minute, send the form in and we will keep you on file for the next one.
Positions
The Kettle Boss
Market Popcorn CookerBristol Amish Market · Thursday, Friday & SaturdayYou run the kettle. Pop fresh batches through the day, keep the case stocked, keep the stall clean, and talk to the regulars — a good few of them come as much for the crew as they do for the corn. It is hot work and you are on your feet, and it is comfortably the best-smelling job in the building. We will teach you the kettle; you bring the showing-up.
Kart Crew
Mobile Unit HelperFestivals, fairs & community days · mostly weekendsYou are the front of the tent. Bagging, sampling, serving, handling money, and keeping a long line moving and happy. You will help set up and break down the Kettle Kart at each event. No experience needed — this is where most of our crew starts. This one is outdoors and in the elements — hot in August, cold in October, and the day goes on either way. It is worth it.
Road Popper
Mobile Unit CookerFestivals, fairs & community days · mostly weekendsThe same events as the Kart Crew, except you are on the kettle — cooking in front of a crowd and keeping up with a line that does not stop. Cooking experience helps, but attitude matters more, and most of our cookers started out on the Kart Crew and worked up to it. Also outdoors, also in the elements, and you are stood over a hot kettle on top of it. Not for everybody — brilliant if it is for you.
The Wildcard
Something elseYear-round · depends entirely on youDriving and towing, setup and teardown, packing online orders, prep and kitchen work, photos and social media — if you are good at something we have not listed, tell us about it. We are a small company and good people have a habit of inventing their own job here.
Where you will actually be
This is the part people underestimate. The Kettle Kart does not sit in a parking lot — it goes to the good ones:
- Middletown Grange Fair
- A-Day at Del Val
- Sesame Place
- Shady Brook Farm
- Newtown
- Yardley
- Bristol
We pop in all the cool places. Street fairs, festivals and community days right across Bucks County and into Philadelphia. You get paid to be at the events everybody else buys a ticket for.
What we are actually looking for
- You must be 18 or older. No exceptions on this one.
- Show up when you say you will. Honestly, that is most of it.
- You like people, and you do not rattle when there is a line thirty deep.
- You can be on your feet for a shift and carry a box of supplies.
- Weekend availability helps a lot for anything on the Kettle Kart.
- No experience needed for the market or the Kart Crew — we train you.
The honest bit about the mobile jobs: you are working outside in whatever the day gives you — hot in the summer, cold in the fall, and the event runs either way. We will not pretend otherwise. But you are outside at a fair with a crowd and a kettle going, and the people who like this job really like it.
