Flavor Vote

Short version: suggest a flavor, we pick four, everyone votes, we make the winner. Here is the long version.
What we cannot make
We do not use peanuts or tree nuts in anything we produce, and a suggestion containing them will not be considered. That is not a preference — nothing that comes out of our kettle has ever contained them, and a lot of our customers count on that. So no peanut, almond, cashew, walnut, pecan, pistachio, hazelnut, macadamia, praline or nut butter, however good it sounds.
Beyond nuts, we may also leave out a suggestion we cannot source, cannot make safely or in quantity, or would not be proud to put our name on.
Who can enter
Anyone 18 or over living in the United States. One entry per person, and one vote per person. No purchase is necessary to enter or to win, and buying something does not improve your chances.
How it works
- Suggestions — Saturday September 5 (Labor Day weekend) to Friday October 9, 2026.
- Shortlisting — we choose four finalists the week of October 12. We choose them ourselves, and we may leave out any suggestion for any reason.
- Voting — Monday October 19 to Sunday November 1, 2026 at 11:59pm Eastern.
- Winner — announced Monday November 2, 2026. The winning flavor goes on sale around Monday November 16, 2026.
How the vote is counted
Votes are cast on this website, not by comments or likes on social media. One vote per email address. We email a confirmation link for each vote; if the result is close, or if the voting pattern looks automated, we may count only confirmed votes. We may discard votes that appear to be duplicates or automated. Our count is final.
The prize
If your suggestion wins, we send you a large tin of the finished flavor once we have made it and got it right — which takes a few weeks after the vote, because a flavor that works in a test batch does not always work in a full kettle. That is the whole prize. There is no cash alternative and no royalty, and its value is well under $600.
We are not promising to name the flavor after you. We may credit you by first name and last initial when we announce it, and we will ask you first, but the name on the bag is ours to decide.
What we may do with your idea
By entering, you give Best Darn Kettlecorn an unrestricted, perpetual, royalty-free, worldwide right to use your suggestion — to make it, name it, sell it, photograph it and advertise it — without any payment to you beyond the prize above, and you confirm the suggestion is your own and is not somebody else's trademark. We may also receive the same idea from more than one person; if that happens, the earliest entry is treated as the suggestion. Nothing here obliges us to make any flavor at all.
Your name and your email
We use your email to run the contest — to confirm your vote and to tell you the result. We will not sell it or share it with anyone else for their marketing. If you would like our news and offers as well, there is a separate box for that, and you can unsubscribe at any time. See our Privacy Policy. If you win, we would like to credit you by first name and last initial when we announce it — we will ask you before we do.
The rest
This is a contest of skill decided by public vote, not a game of chance. It is void where prohibited.
